Missouri Botanical Garden Engagement | Cody+Kristie!

Hello everyone! Liana here, and I’m excited to be sharing this engagement session from way back at the end of May! Cody and Kristie traveled in to visit family, and we managed to squeeze in a beautiful (albeit, hot!) engagement session at the Missouri Botanical Gardens! This is one of my favorite spaces in St. Louis, and I am so glad I finally got to photograph a session there! Check out their gorgeous photos below <3

Cody+Kristie: Engagement Sneak Peek!

Good evening everyone! Liana here, and oh boy, do we have a lot of new work to share over the next few weeks! Not only do we have an engagement session, but we have a beautiful wedding to share as well! We’ll also have some personal sessions coming up too. For now though, we have a sneak peek of our most recent engagement session.

Kristie and Cody live in Garden City, Kansas, but Kristie’s family is from the STL area! They came into town over Memorial Day Weekend/Week, and got in touch with me. I know Kristie’s mom, Diane, through networking, and Diane was originally the one who asked me about engagement sessions! I was more than eager to share, and when she told me Kristie and Cody were thinking of one of my favorite places, I couldn’t say no! Kristie and Cody wished to have their engagement session at the Missouri Botanical Gardens! You all know from previous posts that I absolutely love the Gardens, and was thrilled to FINALLY photograph a session there!

Of course, in true Midwest fashion, it was about 85 degrees with 99% humidity haha. They were troopers though, and we managed to get some beautiful photos! Check them out below!

2018 Garden Glow!

Hello everyone! Liana here, and I apologize for the late post! It’s been a crazy month, but we’re almost done and on to 2019! Tonight’s post is short and sweet. At the beginning of the month I had the chance to visit the Missouri Botanical Gardens, and the annual event they hold, Garden Glow! It features over 1,000,000 lights, turning the garden into a winter wonderland! It’s absolutely beautiful, and a joy to photograph. Check out a few photos below! :)

Next week we won’t be having a blog post, seeing as Christmas falls on Tuesday this year! We will, however, be blogging on New Year’s Eve! Merry Christmas everyone!

Flora Borealis!

Hello everyone, Liana here! Tonight’s post is short but sweet, and it touches on the Missouri Botanical Garden’s current event, Flora Borealis! It is an after dark event that mixes the garden with interactive displays and educational stops! It was a fun event to experience, and even better to practice night photography with! Check out the photos below!

MO Bot Gardens!

Hey everyone! Liana here, and I’m to share one of my favorite spots in St. Louis; the Missouri Botanical Garden! My mom and I made a trip a few days ago to visit their current event, Flora Borealis. This post won’t contain any photos from that event (I am so bad at editing photos on a deadline sometimes!) but it does have the photos I took right before the sunset! I absolutely love taking photos of flowers; they release a creative side of me that I love <3 Check them out below!

Spring is in Season!

Good evening all! Liana here, and I had such an amazing day today! A few of my co-workers and I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and take a photo outing to the Missouri Botanical Gardens! This is such a great place that's right inside St. Louis! It has a large variety of plants, flowers, trees, etc. Not only is it a perfect location for taking photos, it's also great for learning about new things! The Botanical Garden is huge on education and always has classes going on. The tulips are in bloom right now, so that's what a lot of these photos will be, but I also tried to get some variety with different plants and locations!

I absolutely love being creative when it comes to editing these photos! I can use different actions to change the colors around, and overall just be a little bit more artistic. I can't wait to visit the Garden again; I try to go about 3-4 times a year. They always have events taking place, including the Chinese Festival coming up next weekend! If you live in the STL area, I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out, if you haven't already done so!
