Petrified Forest National Park!

Hello there! It's Liana, and I'm stoked to be sharing some images taken at Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona! On my drive home from the canyon, I knew I had to stop and cross the last National Park in AZ off my list. Petrified Forest is the perfect drive-through park! From the Rainbow Forest Museum and Visitor Center to the Painted Desert Visitor Center lies 26 miles of gorgeous landscapes, and plenty of places to stop along the way! I wish I would have had more time to actually hike some of the paved paths, but I know that I will be back to do so at some point in my life!

Just to give a little history of the park, it was established in 1906 to protect one of the world's largest and most colorful deposits of petrified wood. The fossil record contained in this geologic layer gives a closer look at the late Triassic Period. This color sediment, also known as the Painted Desert, spans the 28-mile journey through the park. --- Just a heads up, this was printed on my stickers I purchased at the park; not trying to get in trouble for plagiarizing! Check out the photos below! :)
